The undivided Darrang District and Sessions Judge Court was inaugurated on 14th August 1967 by Hon’ble Mr. Justice S.K. Dutta, the then Chief Justice of Gauhati High Court. Following the division of Darrang District on 31st October 1985, Sonitpur District was established. Sri Upendra Nath Rajkhowa was the first District and Sessions Judge of Sonitpur District, while the Chief Judicial Magistrate’s court was established in 1974 with R. Ahmed serving as the first Chief Judicial Magistrate.

| Selection Process | Candidates will be shortlisted for an interview. The final selection will be made by the Selection Committee, and selected candidates must undergo training. |
