Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must fulfill either of the following criteria (A or B):
A.
- A Master’s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever grading is used) in a relevant subject from an Indian or accredited foreign university.
- Must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC/CSIR or a similar test accredited by UGC, such as SLET/SET.
- Candidates awarded a Ph.D. degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (UGC) Regulations of 2009 or 2016 (and amendments) are exempted from NET/SLET/SET requirements.
OR
B. Candidates who have obtained a Ph.D. degree from a foreign university/institution ranked among the top 500 in the World University Ranking by any of the following:
- Quacquarelli Symonds (QS)
- Times Higher Education (THE)
- Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) by Shanghai Jiao Tong University
Selection Procedure
Candidates must appear for a walk-in interview on 10th February 2025 at 11 AM at the Office of the Head, Department of Applied Science and Humanities, Assam University, Silchar.
