Assam Career : Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) Recruitment 2024 Position Details

Essential Skills

1. Hands-on experience in Linux Server Administration (RHEL or similar).
2. Elementary experience in Network Management (L3 Switch).
3. Certification in any of the above fields from a recognized body will be an advantage.

Additional Skills (Optional but preferred):

• Server Virtualisation: HCI Nutanix / VMware.
• Connectivity: MPLS, Leased Lines – ILL / Point-to-Point.
• Firewall Management: WAF and related systems.
• End Point Security & Cybersecurity: ATP and other security solutions.
• Active Directory Administration: MS Outlook, MS Teams.
• Database Knowledge: Elementary knowledge of MS SQL or MySQL.
• SAN Administration: Storage Area Network management.

Job Roles

1. Server Administration:
   Managing user accounts, file systems, performance monitoring, high availability (HA), virtualization, and file transfer.
2. Network Administration:
   Maintenance of network components such as switches and firewalls, secure connectivity, troubleshooting, and maintaining network uptime.
3. Backup Administration:
   Regular data backup management and restoration when required.
4. Email Administration:
   • User management in MS Exchange (AD integrated).
   • Managing anti-spam and Advanced Threat Protection (ATP) services daily.
