The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Silchar, Assam, is excited to announce an opening for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF). This opportunity is part of a prestigious SERB-DST, Government of India sponsored CRG project titled “Development of Smart Solar Photovoltaic System Having Encapsulated Phase Change Material with Artificial Intelligence-Based Real-Time Condition Monitoring.”

Project Title: Development of Smart Solar Photovoltaic System Having Encapsulated Phase Change Material with Artificial Intelligence-Based Real-Time Condition Monitoring

Essential Qualifications:

• B.Tech/B.E/M.Tech./M.E. in Mechanical Engineering, Electronic and Instrumentation, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, Design and Manufacturing, Materials Science and Engineering, Metallurgical & Materials Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Chemical and Polymer Engineering, Plastic Engineering, or Polymer Technology.
• Must have qualified GATE/CSIR-UGC NET or any national-level examination as per DST guidelines.

Desirable Experience:

• M.Tech degree with hands-on experience in synthesis of nanomaterials, coatings, functionalization, encapsulation technology, solar technology, manufacturing of composite materials, polymer technology, mechanical characterization of materials, thermal characterization, and fracture mechanics.

Salary:

• Rs. 37,000/- per month (for candidates with GATE qualification).

Age Limit:

• Not more than 28 years. Age relaxation is applicable as per DST, Government of India norms for SC/ST/OBC/Women/PD candidates.
