Responsibilities

  • Contact our existing customers and new customers in English speaking countries by telephone
  • Customer requests and inquiries are recorded and forwarded to responsible colleagues

Sales Engineer

India

Job overview:

The Sales Engineer will play a key role in managing sales process, understanding the applications and consult, proposing feasible solutions, building customer relationships, achieving sales targets, managing existing customers and, generating new leads, opportunities and new customers. The Sales Engineer will contribute towards increasing customer satisfaction level. The Sales Engineer will also support sales and business development initiatives and strategies to expand the market share of the products and solutions of the ZwickRoell Group (ZRG) within the standard business.

Location: Vadodara (India)

Responsibilities

  • Achieve sales target assigned by sales manager for dedicated region.
  • Regular meeting with customers over the phone, e-mail or visit to assist in technical, applications and commercial aspects of sales process.
  • Prepare and present technical presentation of ZRG products and its demonstration, if needed, to the customer to meet their needs.
  • Manage and interpret customer requirements, speak with customers to understand their requirement and offer our solutions to meet their needs.
  • Generate technical sales proposals and discuss the proposal with the customer.
  • Manage and update records of customer communication and sales activity in the CRM system and follow internal communication protocols and workflows.
  • Finalise orders after technical and commercial negotiation meetings with customers.
  • Responsible for collection of outstanding payments, C Form, Performance Bank Guarantee, Earnest Money Deposits etc. from customers.
  • Maintaining good relationships with customers throughout sales and after-sales process.
  • Research information on competitor’s initiatives and activities and, share with the sales team.

Service Manager

India

he Service Manager is responsible for the service portfolio and activities for our materials testing systems installed in India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka. The individual will lead a team of 25 service engineers and after sales executives. The role requires a dynamic individual who brings in a process- and customer-oriented outlook to evolve the service organisation into a digital-ready, passionate team that is recognised as a benchmark by our customers. The Service Manager is a part of the Middle Management team that together formulates strategies for long-term growth. As a National Service Manager, this position reports directly to the Managing Director.

Location: Gurugram or Chennai (India)

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement processes to ensure high quality service delivery for all products & solutions of the ZwickRoell Group, with an emphasis on annual maintenance contracts, calibrations, accessories and spare parts
  • Achieve and exceed ambitious order entry, turnover and profitability targets in a fast-growing and competitive market landscape
  • Develop and implement short- to medium-term actions and strategies to sustainably grow the service business
  • Develop long-term strategies to meet and exceed strategic goals
  • Develop annual department objectives that are customer- and growth-oriented
  • Support the ZwickRoell Calibration Laboratory to maintain its NABL accreditation and enhance the scope of accreditation in line with laboratory and company objectives
  • Implement complaint management processes to enable effective closure of customer complaints
  • Develop, implement, and manage service documents to improve process workflows for installation, maintenance and repair and service reporting
  • Analyse service data to identify systematic problems or trends, and enable respective measures
  • Proactively identify opportunities for service process improvement through close working with team leaders
  • Provide methodology and tools to collect actionable customer insights and feed the information into the departments and producing divisions/subsidiaries to enable continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and further develop KPIs to measure performance
  • Ensure complete usage of the corporate CRM system for opportunity management, case management and service scheduling
  • Propose investments in hardware, software, human resources and continuous learning together with return-on-investment calculations for annual budgeting
  • Assures the ZwickRoell values, processes, tools, and guidelines are implemented, lived, and further developed within the ZwickRoell India service team

  • Effectively interface with producing divisions and subsidiaries to assist in resolution of complex or long-standing service cases

  • Master’s in Business and/or Bachelor Degree in Engineering or equivalent

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in customer support, after sales or sales activities of materials testing equipment is required, with at least 4 years’ experience in people and team management

Requirements

  • Proficiency in digital and online platforms, including Microsoft Office, corporate CRM systems and web-based tools
  • Knowledge of materials science, materials testing, or testing software is a major advantage
  • Highly organised with superior customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, goal-oriented and under pressure to meet customer oriented KPIs and internal deadlines

Technical Engineer – After Sales

India

The After Sales Technical Engineer (V1) is responsible to promote the sale of standard to complex accessories to existing ZwickRoell customers through remote and on-site product and application consulting.  He/she provides ZwickRoell India (ZRIN) service personnel with technical support for the promotion and sales of products to existing customers. This role works closely with the in-house After Sales team and Field Service Engineer team. Objectives, responsibilities, prioritization, project definition and administrative matters are defined by the Regional Service Manager (Line Manager).

Location: Chennai, Bangalore, Gurugram, Vadodara (India)

Responsibilities

  • Visit existing ZwickRoell customers to understand challenges and needs to consult them on standard to complex solutions.
  • Coordinate with After Sales and Field Service teams to bring non-duplicating value-add in customer interactions.
  • Support After Sales team in sales process and in preparing technically complex quotations.
  • Provide technical support to After Sales and Field Service Engineers for After Sales activities.
  • Support After Sales team with updates in CRM system and provide data as required by the Service Management.
  • Uses TopSell concepts and processes to assist others in the service team, as well as acting independently in accounts and sales situations, when required.
  • Presents technical customer training courses.
  • Acts as liaison with sales/customers and ZwickRoell India to provide input on product and service improvements.
  • Fulfil ad-hoc duties and projects assigned by Regional Service Manager.
