Gauhati University, Assam, is seeking applications for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under the DBT Project titled "Mass multiplication, cultivation, value addition, and population of Docynia indica among tribal communities of Assam and Meghalaya."

The position is available for one qualified candidate.

Qualifications required for this position include a first-class MSc degree in Biotechnology, Life Science, Bioscience, or a related field.

Alternatively, candidates with a first-class PG degree in a professional course in Biotechnology, Bioscience, or a related field are also eligible.

Preference will be given to candidates with CSIR-NET/GATE/DBT-JRF/ICAR NET-JRF/ICMR NET-JRF qualifications.

The fellowship for this position is Rs. 31,000 per month for candidates with NET/GATE qualifications, along with a 16% House Rent Allowance (HRA).

For candidates without NET/GATE qualifications, the fellowship is Rs. 18,000 per month, also with a 16% HRA.
