Eight people, including five children, have been recovered from a fatal shooting in a Utah home
Eight family members were found dead from gunshot wounds in a southern Utah home Wednesday.
In Enoch, a small town of about 8,000 people 245 miles (394 kilometers) south of Salt Lake City,
city officials said in a statement that the victims were found while police conducted a welfare check at the residence.
Police said no threat to the public was detected
Enoch City Manager Rob Dotson said news of the eight bodies rocked the community and the dead
all members of one family — are well-known in the southern Utah town.
Iron County School District officials said in a letter sent to parents that the five children attended schools in the district.
