Gauhati University Assam is pleased to announce job opportunities for dynamic and qualified individuals to join our team as Research Investigator and Research Fellow-II (Contractual) under the Population Research Centre. Position 1: Research Investigator

• Number of Vacancies: 1
• Pay Scale: Rs. 30,000/- to Rs. 1,10,000/- with a Grade Pay of Rs. 13,900/-
• Qualifications:
  • A second-class Post Graduate degree in Demography, Population Studies, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Sociology, Social Work, Psychology, Anthropology, or Geography.
  • Proficiency in Computer Applications, including MS Word, MS Excel, and statistical software (e.g., SPSS and R-Programming).
• Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in data collection, analysis, and report writing. However, candidates with higher qualifications may receive relaxation in experience requirements.

Position 2: Research Fellow-II (Contractual)

• Number of Vacancies: 1
• Monthly Pay: Rs. 25,000/- (Consolidated)
• Qualifications:
  • A second-class Post Graduate degree in Demography, Population Studies, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Sociology, Social Work, Psychology, Anthropology, or Geography.
  • Proficiency in Computer Applications, including MS Word, MS Excel, and statistical software (e.g., SPSS and R-Programming).
• Experience: Candidates should possess at least one year of post-qualification experience (i.e., after Post Graduation). Relaxation may be considered for deserving candidates.

Age Requirement: Applicants for both positions must not exceed 38 years of age as of the date of application.
