Job Opportunity: Motor Vehicle Inspector (MVI) under APSC Assam

Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) is recruiting for the position of Motor Vehicle Inspector (MVI) in the Transport Department of Assam. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with the required qualifications to join the esteemed organization.

Number of Posts: 18
Pay Scale: Rs. 22,000/- to Rs. 97,000/- with Grade Pay Rs. 9400/-

Qualification:

• HSLC / HSSLC with a three-year Diploma in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized Institute of Govt. of Assam / Govt. of India, duly recognized by AICTE.

Age Limit:

• Minimum: 21 years
• Maximum: 38 years (as on 01-01-2024)
• Relaxation:
  • SC/ST: Up to 43 years
  • OBC / MOBC: Up to 41 years
  • Ex-Servicemen: Up to 50 years for Unreserved category; further relaxation for OBC/MOBC and SC/ST candidates
  • Persons with benchmark disability (PWBD): 10 years irrespective of category
