National Bureau of Soil Survey & Land Use Planning (NBSSLUP) Assam is inviting applications for project-based positions in the project titled “Process-based modelling for predictive mapping of climate change impact on the performance of tea and climate-smart zone based adaptation strategies in Terai-Dooars and Darjeeling region of India.” Here are the details:
1. Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
No. of Posts: 1
Essential Qualification: Post Graduate in Agricultural Sciences/Geoinformatics/Geography/Engineering/Technology/Statistics with specialization in RS & GIS related works.
Desirable Qualification: Knowledge and working experience in GIS software, Google Earth engine, R programming, Python language, and other soil-crop modeling software.
Emoluments: Rs. 20,000/- + 24% HRA p.m. for 1st and 2nd year, Rs. 22,000/- + HRA 24% p.m. for 3rd year.
2. Project Assistant
No. of Posts: 1
Essential Qualification: Graduate in Soil Sciences/Agricultural Chemistry or related branch of Agricultural/Horticultural sciences with specialization in Soil-related works.
Desirable Qualification: Knowledge and working experience in soil science, natural resource mapping, soil and crop-based survey, and laboratory analysis of soil properties.
Emoluments: Rs. 15,000/- + 8% HRA p.m.
Maximum Age Limit: Minimum age limit is 21 years and maximum age limit is 45 years for men, 50 years for women/SC/ST/Physically challenged, and 48 years for OBC candidates on the date of the interview.
Selection Procedure: Walk-in-interview scheduled on 9th April 2024 from 9:30 AM onwards at ICAR-NBSSLUP, Regional Centre, Kolkata.
