Recruitment Notice: Scientific Administrative Assistant at Tezpur University Assam
Tezpur University Assam is inviting applications for the position of Scientific Administrative Assistant in the DBT sponsored research project titled “Bioinformatics and Computational Biology Centre for Microbial Biodiversity in Assam and Arunachal Pradesh” under Prof. Suvendra Kumar Ray, Department of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology.
Position: Scientific Administrative Assistant
Number of Posts: 1
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering/science disciplines with specialization in Computational Biology/Bioinformatics/Biosciences/Molecular Biology & Biotechnology/related subjects.
Desirable Experience:
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience in computational analysis of genome sequences or similar fields.
Fellowship: Rs. 18,000/- per month + 8% HRA
Job Role:
- Manage day-to-day project activities and organize workshops and training programs twice a year.
Age Limit: Up to 50 years on the date of interview, with relaxation as per Government of India Rules.
Selection Procedure:
A walk-in-interview will be conducted on 11/03/2024 at 10.00 am at the office of the Head, Department of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, Tezpur University.

Interested candidates should appear for the interview with original and self-attested photocopies of mark sheets, certificates from 10th standard onwards, caste certificate (if applicable), experience certificate, any other testimonials, application in prescribed format (Annexure-I), and a copy of a recent signed Curriculum Vitae (CV). No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview. Candidates currently employed or pursuing Ph.D. must submit a ‘No Objection Certificate’ from the concerned employer/Ph.D. Supervisor.
