Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
- Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Public Health, or Management.
- At least 5 years of experience in the development sector, including a minimum of 3 years’ work experience in HIV/AIDS, preferably in a supervisory capacity.
- A sound understanding of issues related to high-risk group populations.
- Experience in designing and implementing targeted intervention strategies for high-risk groups such as Female Sex Workers, Transgenders, Injected Drug Users, Migrants, Truckers, and Prisoners.
Desirable:
- Postgraduate diploma or fellowship in HIV/AIDS from a government-recognized institution.
- Familiarity with the organization and functions of state and local public health systems, including State AIDS Control Societies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in local languages.
- Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, and writing).
- Previous experience in the state/UT is advantageous.
- Proficiency in computer applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, etc.).
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively.
