Assam Career : Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualifications:

1. (A) Academic Qualifications:
   • i) A Master’s degree in History with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale, wherever applicable) from an accredited Indian or foreign university.
   • ii) In addition to the above qualifications, candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or any equivalent test like SLET/SET, or those who have been awarded a Ph.D. degree in accordance with the UGC regulations.
   OR
2. (B) Ph.D. Degree:
   • The candidate must have obtained a Ph.D. degree from a foreign university/institution that ranks in the top 500 globally according to rankings such as QS, THE, or ARWU (Shanghai Ranking).

Selection Procedure

• The selection will be based on a walk-in interview to be held on 18th November 2024 at 1:30 PM at the RB Conference Hall, Samson Sing Ingti Administrative Building, Assam University, Diphu Campus.
• Candidates are advised to appear for the interview along with the duly filled application form, original documents, and self-attested copies of all relevant certificates.
