The Directorate of Cultural Affairs, Government of Assam, is offering a unique Assam career opportunity for eligible candidates. They are inviting applications for 28 vacant positions of Cultural Development Officer.

Position: Cultural Development Officer Number of Posts: 28 Pay Scale: Rs. 14,000/- to Rs. 60,500/- + Grade Pay Rs. 8,700/-

Educational Qualification: Candidates must meet one of the following criteria:

(a)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a Government-recognized university
  • Diploma from a Government-recognized institute in Dance, Drama, Film Editing, Motion Picture Photography, Acting, or Sound Engineering.

(b)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Music (Vocal/Instrumental/Sattriya) from any Government Music College or Government-recognized institute.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts from any Government College of Art & Craft or Government-recognized institute.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Cultural Studies from any recognized university or Government-recognized institute.

Preferable Qualification:

  • Adequate knowledge of Assam’s Cultural Heritage.
  • Candidates with National/State Level performance certificates may be given preference.

Age Limit:

  • Minimum Age: 21 years
  • Maximum Age: 40 years (as on 01/01/2023)
  • Age Relaxation:
    • SC/ST candidates: Up to 45 years (5 years relaxation)
    • OBC/MOBC candidates: Up to 43 years (3 years relaxation)
    • Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD): Up to 50 years (10 years relaxation)
