Eligibility Criteria: Prospective candidates must ensure that they meet the stipulated eligibility criteria as outlined in the DHE letter No. DHE/CE/Misc/49/2021/Pt/5 dated 09/02/2022 (attached herewith). The selection criteria align with the Assam Government’s OM No. AHE.239/2021/68 dated 24/01/2022. It is imperative that candidates possess the necessary educational qualifications and adhere to the selection procedure detailed in the aforementioned Government Office Memorandum. Candidates with a Ph.D. degree as per the UGC’s Regulation (2009) are exempt from the mandatory eligibility conditions of NET/SLET/SET. Applicants should maintain a commendable academic record with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in the point scale) at the Master’s degree level in the respective subject. A relaxation of 5% marks is applicable for SC/ST/PWD candidates. Please note that qualifications such as M.Phil., Ph.D., Seminar Papers, and Publications may be acquired and submitted on the date of the interview and not beyond.
Age Limit: Applicants’ age should not exceed 38 years as of January 1, 2023, with the following relaxations:
- OBC/MOBC candidates: 3 years
- ST/SC candidates: 5 years
- PwD candidates: 10 years
