Assam Career : The Tea Research Association (TRA), Jorhat, Assam, is inviting applications from eligible candidates for the recruitment of a Project Fellow under a project titled “Studies on the Dissipation and Residue of Amistar Top (Azoxystrobin 18.2% + Difenoconazole 11.4% SC) in Tea Leaf, Black Tea, Green Tea, Soil.” The project is sponsored by Syngenta and will be conducted at the Analytical Department of TRA.

About Tea Research Association (TRA):
The foundation of tea research in India dates back to 1900 with the establishment of the Scientific Department of the Indian Tea Association (ITA). Further expansion took place with the creation of the Tocklai Experimental Station in 1911. In 1964, TRA was formed with Tocklai at the center, expanding tea research across Northeast India. Today, the Tocklai Tea Research Institute, Jorhat, remains the oldest and largest tea research station globally, providing technical support through its advisory network covering 1,076 tea estates across multiple regions.

Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting pesticide residue analysis of tea, soil, and water samples collected from supervised field trials.
- Performing multi-locational residue field trials in Assam & West Bengal.
- Supervising project-related activities, including data collection, compilation, and report preparation.
- Working under the supervision of Scientists & Technical Officers at the NABL-accredited laboratory facility of TLabs, Tocklai.
