A walk-in-interview is scheduled to take place on September 8, 2023, at 10:30 AM in the Department of Sociology at Tezpur University for two temporary positions of Field Investigator. These positions are part of an ICSSR sponsored research project titled “Work, Mental Health and Gender: A Sociological Study on Women Police in Dibrugarh District of Assam.” The project is being conducted under the supervision of Dr. Pamidi Hagjer, Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology at Tezpur University, located in Tezpur, Napaam – 784028, Assam.
Details of the Field Investigator Position:
- Number of Positions: 2
- Essential Qualification: Candidates must have a Post Graduate degree in a social science discipline with a minimum of 55% marks.
- Remuneration: The monthly remuneration for the position is Rs. 15,000, in accordance with the approved emolument of ICSSR.
- Age Limit: Candidates must not exceed 28 years of age on the date of the interview. However, the upper age limit may be relaxed as per Government of India rules.
- Duration: The duration of the position is three (3) months or until the completion of the project or until further orders, whichever comes earlier.

Application Process:
Interested candidates are required to appear before the interview board on the day of the interview with the following documents:
- Original and self-attested photocopies of mark sheets and certificates from 10th standard onwards.
- Caste certificate (if applicable).
- Experience certificate (if any).
- Any other relevant testimonials.
- A copy of the recent signed Curriculum Vitae (CV).
- Application in the prescribed format (Annexure-I).
