Assam Career : Pay Scale
- UGC pay scale of Rs. 57,700 – 1,82,400 with additional allowances as per Assam Government rules.
Assam Career : Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit:
- Maximum of 38 years as of 01.01.2024.
- Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC/MOBC, and 10 years for PWD candidates.
Educational Qualifications:
- Good academic record (minimum 55% marks) at the Master’s level in a relevant subject from an Indian or accredited foreign university.
- Must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC/CSIR or similar tests like SLET/SET.
- Candidates with a Ph.D. in accordance with UGC regulations are exempt from the NET/SLET/SET requirement.
- A relaxation of 5% in marks may be provided for SC/ST and differently-abled candidates.
- The time taken to acquire M.Phil or Ph.D. will not count as teaching/research experience.
Additional Requirements:
- Candidates must possess a Permanent Residential Certificate (PRC) and knowledge of the local language.
