Tezpur University, Assam, is seeking applications from eligible candidates for the position of Student Intern in a DST-SERB funded research project titled “Microplastic Distributions in Soils Under Different Land Use in Sonitpur District in the Brahmaputra Catchment.” This project is led by Dr. Sumi Handique, Assistant Professor in the Department of Environmental Science.
Established by an Act of Parliament in 1994, Tezpur University aims to provide employment-oriented and interdisciplinary courses that cater to local and regional needs while promoting research in areas relevant to the region and emerging fields in Science and Technology.

Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must be pursuing an M.Sc. in Environmental Science.
- Age Limit: Candidates should not exceed 25 years on the last date for application submission. Age relaxation will be provided as per Government of India rules.
Internship Details
- Stipend: Rs. 5,000.00 (Rupees Five Thousand Only) per month (Consolidated).
- Accommodation: No accommodation will be provided.
