About IASST Guwahati: The Institute of Advanced Study in Science & Technology (IASST) located in Guwahati, Assam, is a premier research institute engaged in cutting-edge scientific research. IASST is currently seeking applications from qualified candidates for the position of Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) under a project aimed at developing an improved antivenom against venomous snakes in Northeast India.

Project Title: Preparation of an Improved Antivenom against Non-Big Four Venomous Snakes of NE India
Essential Qualification:
- First Class M.Sc./M.Tech with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent CGPA in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Life Sciences, Zoology, or related fields.
- Two years of research experience for M.Sc. candidates, demonstrated by publications in peer-reviewed journals.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in any of the mentioned fields.
- Experience in developing diagnostics, point-of-care biosensors for healthcare, protein purification and characterization, or snake venom biochemistry.
Fellowship & Other Facilities:
- Monthly fellowship of Rs. 56,000/- plus HRA (9%) without additional allowances.
- Medical facilities will be provided as per the institute’s rules.
- Residential accommodation inside the campus may be available, subject to availability.
Age Limit: Not exceeding 35 years as of the last date of application. Age relaxation applicable as per Government of India rules.
