Qualifications: (A) Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent on the grading scale) from a recognized University. (B) A Ph.D. Degree. (C) Professor/Associate Professor with a total service experience of at least 15 (Fifteen) years in Teaching/Research/Administration in Universities, Colleges, and other Higher Education institutions. (D) Minimum score as per the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based on Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS) as per UGC regulations in Appendix-I for direct recruitment of Principals in colleges. (E) Minimum of 10 research publications in Peer-Reviewed or UGC-listed Journals. (F) Minimum research score of 110 as per Appendix-II, Table-2, UGC Regulation 2018. (G) 5% relaxation in Master’s Degree for SC/ST/Differently abled (Physically and Visually differently abled) candidates. The relaxation and eligibility marks of 55% are based on qualifying marks without including any grace marks.
Age Limit: The upper age limit is 55 years.
Application Procedure: Candidates should send their applications in the format provided by the Directorate of Higher Education (DHE). Along with the application, candidates should include their bio-data, self-attested testimonials, and a demand draft of Rs. 5000/- (Rupees Five thousand) only, payable to the Principal i/c, Bahona College, Jorhat. The demand draft should be drawn from SBI Borpool Branch, Jorhat. The applications must reach the Office of the Principal, Bahona College, Jorhat, Assam, by August 1, 2023.
