Additionally, candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or similar tests like SLET/SET. Candidates with a PhD degree are exempted from the NET/SLET/SET requirement.
- Age Limit: The maximum age limit is 38 years as of January 1, 2023, with relaxations of 3 years for OBC/MOBC, 5 years for SC/ST, and 10 years for PWD candidates.
