Qualification: Candidates should meet the educational qualifications and selection procedures outlined in the Government Office Memorandum No. AHE.239/2021/68 dated 24-01-2022. NET/SLET/SET qualification is mandatory. However, candidates with a Ph.D. degree in accordance with the UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedures for the Award of Ph.D. Degree Regulation, 2009) are exempt from the NET/SLET/SET requirement. Candidates must have a minimum of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade point scale) at the Master’s degree level in the relevant subject. A relaxation of 5% marks may be provided to SC/ST/PWD candidates. Ph.D. holders who obtained their Master’s Degree prior to 19th September 1991 are also eligible for a relaxation of 5% marks. The candidate should possess the required qualifications as of the last date for submitting applications. Eligibility such as M.Phil/Ph.D./Seminar Papers/Publications can be acquired and submitted on the date of the interview and not beyond.
Age: The age of the candidate should comply with the prevailing rules of the Assam Government.
How to apply: Candidates need to submit their applications in the prescribed format provided by the DHE, Assam. The application should include a complete bio-data and all testimonials from HSLC (High School Leaving Certificate) onwards. Additionally, candidates must enclose a non-refundable Demand Draft of Rs. 2000/- (Rupees Two Thousand) drawn in favor of Principal, Pragjyotish College, Guwahati – 9, payable at the SBI (State Bank of India), West Guwahati Branch. The applications must reach the Principal, Pragjyotish College, Guwahati-9, by July 13, 2023.
